Jozo has announced the issuance of the first tokenized real estate deed through private-sector platforms in the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, within the regulatory sandbox of the General Real Estate Authority — becoming the first platform to apply a real estate tokenization model with an official ownership document tied to an existing property, and within a clear regulatory framework through the private sector.

This issuance represents a qualitative step in developing real estate investment tools in the Kingdom, strengthening and broadening the investor base in the real estate market.

The real estate tokenization model is built on dividing a real estate asset into small shares that investors can own through documented digital deeds, enabling entry into real estate investment at lower amounts than traditional ownership, while each share remains tied to an existing, real property.

This development comes at a time when the Saudi real estate sector is undergoing rapid transformation driven by regulation and technology, aligned with the directions of digital transformation and enhanced innovation in financing and investment tools.

The issuance of the first tokenized deed is not merely a technical experiment, but a practical step toward redefining the concept of real estate ownership and opening wider opportunities for individual investors within a clear, regulated, and supervised environment.
